Bauhinia variegata 'candida' is a sensational orchid tree that shows off masses of flowers winter through spring ...then some more in the summer as well

Great in zones 9 and 10, the 'Candida' is fast growing and tops out in the range of 25-35 feet and is wide, 20-30 feet, so you have a shade tree as well as a flowering tree

Flowers are large and scented.  Maximum flowering is approximately January thru April

Plant your Bauhinia variegata 'Candida' in full sun to partial shade.  Any sandy well drained soil is OK.  Your 'Candida' is very drought tolerant so a dry spot in your landscape is perfect ...skip irrigation all together after establishment
